Sticking With

We all know that exercise is good for us.  It keeps our muscles strong, our joints more flexible and it even helps improve our mood. But despite all these positive things, most people find it hard to stick with an exercise program. Here are some tips and tricks to help you stay on track:

  • Pick a time of day and stick to it. Right after breakfast, say, or before the evening news. Whatever works for you.

  • Keep track. Mark your calendar each time you do the exercises. This is not only satisfying, it lets you see how many days each week you’ve been active.

  • Have a Home Strong buddy. You may be at home, but you can still be in touch. Find someone else who will commit to doing the exercises every day. Check in on each other. Keep each other honest!

  • Announce your goal. Tell someone you are going to do it every day. Invite them to check back on whether you’re making good on your commitment.

Are you using any of these strategies, or maybe something else. Let us know and we’ll share it here!
